Making A public web-server ON Windows Xp Home. list of thing to use .. Link System Wireless G Router (others will work but this is the one ill teach to use) Fox server (This is what you will use for your web home directory) WRT54G Firmware from ( http:www.mastermindz.org/downloads/wfb_2.02.2.6-tp.zip ) ShoutCast ( if you want Your own radio station) Fast Internet ( like T1 1.3MB or faster) Windows Xp Home
First start by going to get the Firmware from Mastermindz.org download to your Desktop Take it out of the zip folder. Then go to http://192.168.1.1/Upgrade.asp username is blank and Password is admin. Go to browse and Find the folder on Your desktop. The click Upgrade. Let it load, and when its finished wait 5 min. Then go unplug your router for like 1 min. Now your internet should come back. Then go get a copy of fox server and install it. Now In your Router settings go to Applications & Gaming http://192.168.1.1/Server_Profile.asp, check all the check boxes. click save. Then go to http://192.168.1.1/Management.asp and change the password to something original. After that you should be able to go to http://yourip and see fox server index. Now to change that go into the fox server directory where ever you saved it. Open fox server folder and then the www folder delete or replace the index.html Now if you want shoutcast music server Go to http://192.168.1.1/Forward.asp in the first box under Application Put a name in ex:Shout. Then in the next box and the one to the right of that put in port 8000 & 8001 On your ip address put in your local ip wich if u don't know go to start run type in CMD.Type in ipconfig. It should give you something like 192.168.1.100. type that in and check the box to the right. Go to the bottom of page Click save. Thats It!
